Track-Ready: Murtha Motorsports Installs Safety Upgrades on Driving Dynamics' Porsche GT3 RS

Driving Dynamics Motorsports Porsche 991.2 GT3 Salzburg with BBi Autosport StreetCup Roll Bar, Racetech Harnesses, Dundon Motorsports D3 Street Header and Intake Kit Power Package, and DSC Sport Controller at Murtha Motorsport.

Porsche's GT3 RS is a track-focused version of the 911 sports car, and the 991.2 generation is known for its raw driving experience and performance capabilities. So when our friend Gem Mookherjea from Driving Dynamics Motorsports brought his GT3 RS shop car to our shop for some upgrades, we were excited to get to work.

The first modification we installed was a BBi Autosport StreetCup Roll Bar, designed specifically for track use. This roll bar provides added rigidity and protection in case of a rollover on the track, and it also has mounting points for the 6-point harnesses we installed next.

Racetech Harness Installation

The Racetech 6-Point Harnesses we installed provide additional safety and support for the driver and passengers during track sessions. These harnesses feature high-quality materials and construction, and they are easy to adjust for a comfortable and secure fit

The installation of the harnesses was made possible with the use of the BBi Autosport Sub-Belt Bracket, which mounts to the bottom of the factory Porsche seat and provides a mounting point for the Sub-belts (also known as anti-submarine, crotch belts, or submarine belts) that go between the legs.

Gem's GT3 RS was already equipped with a Dundon Motorsports D3 Street Header / 93mm Intake Kit Power Package to boost its performance and a DSC Sport Controller, a plug-and-play factory replacement controller that provides Dynamic Suspension Control with unlimited tuning capability. The GT3 RS was also adorned with a stunning Salzburg livery vinyl wrap from Hyer Quality Detail, which added a professional touch to its appearance. With these new safety upgrades, the GT3 RS is now ready to tackle the track with improved protection and handling.
