Lowering & Corner Balancing M-Engineering's Porsche 992 GT3 at Murtha Motorsports

Our friend Mitch Mckee from M-Engineering recently brought his Jet Green Metallic Porsche 992 GT3 purchased from Champion Porsche dealership in Florida to Murtha Motorsports so that we could lower the car and corner-balance it. These adjustments are extremely beneficial for improving the performance of any track-focused Porsche, so let’s look at why Mitch decided to do this and what changes were made.

Taking Delivery at Champion Porsche Dealership

Inspired by the classic Porsche colors of the 1950s and 1960s, Jet Green Metallic offers a dramatic and eye-catching contrast to the Neodyme colored wheels. The color is highly reflective, making it even more noticeable when the sun is out.

At Murtha Motorsports

Lowering the Porsche 992 GT3 not only improves its appearance by reducing the gap between the tire and fender but also helps improve its handling on the race track. Corner balancing helps achieve proper weight distribution and weight transfer between each corner of the vehicle. When done properly, it ensures that each wheel has a proper force acting upon it while driving to maximize grip. An even weight distribution across each corner of your car allows you to take corners faster because you will have maximum contact with the ground throughout every turn. Murtha Motorsports made these adjustments with the vehicle's original factory adjustable coil-over suspension exclusive to track-focused Porsche GT models. Lowering your car helps improve handling on race tracks by creating a lower center of gravity, while corner balancing improves traction during turns by ensuring that each wheel has an equal force acting upon it while driving for maximum grip.

At Murtha Motorsports, we are dedicated to helping our customers get optimal performance out of their vehicles. When Mitch brought us his Porsche 992 GT3, we knew exactly what steps needed to be taken—lowering and corner balancing—to ensure he was getting maximum performance out of his ride! Whether you're an amateur or professional motorsport enthusiast or just someone looking for improved performance from their daily driver—make sure you come see us here at Murtha Motorsports for all your auto needs!
