Upgrading the Cooling System on a Porsche 997 Turbo with CSF Radiators at Murtha Motorsports

At Murtha Motorsports, we recently had the pleasure of upgrading the cooling system on a Porsche 997 Turbo for one of our clients. As any Porsche enthusiast knows, the 997 Turbo is a high-performance vehicle that requires a reliable and efficient cooling system to keep it running at its best.

To improve the cooling capabilities of this particular Porsche, we turned to a trusted name in the industry: CSF Radiators. We installed a set of left, right, and center radiators from CSF, which are designed specifically for the 997 Turbo and offer improved cooling performance over the factory units.

CSF Radiator Features

  • 2-Row 42mm Core Featuring CSF’s Exclusive B-Tube Technology (+20% Efficiency)

  • 6.5mm Fin Height w/ Multi-Louvered Design for Maximum Surface Area Contact

  • Individually Leak and Pressure Tested

  • All-Aluminum Design with 100% TIG-Welded End Tanks

  • CNC Machined Brackets and Fittings for Superb Fit and Durability

  • OEM-Style Machined Inlet/Outlet Connections

  • 1-Hour “Mirror Finish” Hand Polish

  • Plug-and-Play “Drop-in” Fit with No Modifications Required for Installation

  • Accepts OEM AC Condenser and Fan Shroud

  • High-Performance Upgrade Suitable for Professional Racing, Street Performance, or OEM Replacement

  • Track Tested at 110°F/ 43°C – Proven with First Place Finished in the Pirelli GT3 Cup, POC, PCA, and at the Nurburgring

One of the key features of the CSF radiators is their high-density multi-louvered fin design. This design helps to increase the surface area of the radiator, allowing for more efficient heat exchange and better cooling performance. The radiators are also made from lightweight aluminum, which helps to reduce the overall weight of the vehicle and improve its performance.

In addition to the improved cooling performance, the CSF radiators are also highly durable and resistant to corrosion. They are built to withstand the high temperatures and pressures that are common in high-performance vehicles, making them a reliable choice for anyone looking to upgrade their Porsche's cooling system.

But that's not all! These radiators also feature CSF's exclusive B-Tube technology, which is a unique design that helps to improve the overall efficiency of the radiator. The B-shaped tubes are wider and more efficient at transferring heat, leading to better cooling performance. Additionally, the radiators have an all-aluminum design with 100% TIG-welded end tanks, which provides added strength and durability to the radiators.

Overall, we were very impressed with the performance of the CSF radiators on this Porsche 997 Turbo. They provided a noticeable improvement in cooling performance, and we have no doubt that they will continue to perform well for our client for many miles to come. If you're in need of a cooling system upgrade for your Porsche, we highly recommend giving the team at Murtha Motorsports a call and discussing your options with them.
