Highlights from the 2019 SEMA Show: A Look Back at the Premier Automotive Trade Event

As automotive enthusiasts, we were thrilled to have the opportunity to attend the 2019 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. As the world's premier automotive trade show, the SEMA Show is a must-attend event for industry professionals, showcasing the $44 billion automotive aftermarket and bringing together every industry segment, from hot rods to mobile electronics and collision repair.

With a total attendance of 162,000 people, the 2019 SEMA-AAPEX shows had an estimated economic impact of $259 million, a 10.3% increase from the previous year, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. It was truly an unforgettable experience, and we saw some amazing sports cars, exotic cars, and innovative parts from manufacturers.

We've compiled a few photos from our trip to the SEMA Show to share with you. From sleek sports cars to exotic vehicles and custom parts, there was something for every automotive enthusiast at this incredible event.

C&R Racing's Micromatrix Heat Exchanger. Utilizing microtubes, this type of heat exchanger provides significantly improved performance over traditional tube and fin radiators, and this technology is usually reserved for aerospace, niche OEM (hypercars), and top tier motorsports (Formula 1, LMP1, and Indycar).

1991 Ferrari 348 with modern touches - modern fitment Rotiform wheels paying homage to the OG white Challenge setup, a woven polycarbonate splitter by Powerstream Industries, Lexan rear spoiler like on NASCAR Cup cars, 1 of 13 OEM OMP Racing factory cages and a steering wheel that replaces all of the OEM column controls, and a proper setup on the custom 2-way Competition KW suspensions kit dialed in by E-Motion Engineering (with button actuated hydraulic lift that raises the car to factory ride height).

Bisimoto Engineering's amazing Porsche 935 "K3V" build outfitted with Brixton Forged Wheels and electrified with a three-phase motor from utilizing 12 LG Chem cells, six in front and six in back, with a combined 32-kWh capacity. To accent it's nostalgic presence all while adding a modern motorsport feel, Brixton Forged created the BM01 8-piece wheel consisting of 3D printed sections, PCD covers, custom milled center lock race caps, and an accenting aero rings.

Tilton Engineering has jumped into the street performance market, taking its nearly half century of motorsports experience and applying it to the sports cars in your driveway. At The SEMA Show it launched the new ST-246 Twin Disc Clutch Kit, a strap-type unit that comes in two options: 1. Sprung hub Organic discs rated (850 lb-ft capacity) 2. Solid Hub Cerametallic, rated (1250 lb-ft capacity). Tilton has ST246 setups that can be mated to a range of LSX - and LT-powered vehicles, with Tremec T56 or TR56, five-speed TKO’s, and there are vehicle-specific models for fifth/sixth-gen Camaro and C5/C6/C7 Corvette.
